SO YOU WANT TO BE AN ENGINEER?
Risk Engineering offers enlightened one on one, private courses for anyone who would like to learn everything about engineering. Whether you're just a beginner wanting to start with the basics, or someone who already has some knowledge but wants to further their expertise, this is perfect for all!
Schools for engineering can get VERY expensive and a lot of the time there are courses that, well, just aren't very interesting... But with our classes, we focus on the stuff actually matters, and cut out all the boring courses that come with engineering schools.
If you're just starting out, then we'll start right from the beginning and teach you all about the basics of Pro Tools and simple recording/mixing techniques, then move up from there. If you're already comfortable with the basics, then we'll jump right into useful mixing & mastering techniques ! Classes will go at a pace that's comfortable for each individual.

Whether you're just starting out or already have a bit of knowledge and just want to expand on it, this course is great for all. If you want to learn some of the basics of engineering or learn how to operate Pro Tools, then look no further. Or, if you already know the basics, then we can just jump right into mixing and mastering techniques and get a bit more hands on!
If you're a beginner wanting to learn everything a bit more precise, then we recommend the 'No Risk, No Reward' course below. It just gives us more time to go over everything more in-depth and cover more ground. So check out both courses and decide which one you think will be right for you. The course is broken down into 4 classes total. Each class is two hours long. So 8 hours total. Although they can be scheduled how ever you like, we recommend doing 1 class per week for a month. This way you can take what you've learned in a class and have time to apply it at home yourself each week. This really gives you time to soak in and then practice.

As much as you can learn in the 'Calculated Risk' course, it is still a bit more condensed to try and fit everything in, whereas this course is a lot more in-depth and thorough. If you're a beginner, we'll start by teaching you the very basics and fundamentals of engineering, followed by Pro Tools lessons, then dive into plugins, recording techniques, mixing skills, mastering practices and much more. Not only will you learn the technical side of engineering/producing but you'll also get to know about equipment, microphones, acoustic treatment, business strategies to start your business and more! If you already know the basics, we'll skip past that and jump right into plugins, mixing techniques, mastering, etc, really getting hands on dissecting a mix and doing a mix right from scratch so you can see up close what's being done. So no matter what level you're currently at, this course is a sure way to learn and improve your skills to become a better and more professional engineer.
